No one can argue that a life of bliss isn't a prize of life to hold onto, but did you know that that is the way life was meant for everyone to have? Along the way, since the generations before us stepped foot on this soil, we lost ourselves in our jobs, our bills, in the news, television and the world, and in trying to have it all plus more than our neighbor next door. I know because I've been there. I was sucked in, not knowing any better.  Working at a job as a dental hygienist at the same time of building my own businesses-  trying to get ahead so one day I wouldn't have to work so hard and could just relax.  
But it was like that ride on the merry-go-round, riding on the beautiful white horse that bobbed up and down, I just never could catch up to that golden ring and have it at within my reach. 
There was no peace, joy or contentment with this life.  There was no time for myself or time for my family.  All the things that I know now are important were simply missing from that life.    
But the funny thing is, I did have fear, worry, and stress. 
I was 'controlling my life', yet on another hand I wasn't 'in control' of my life.

Posttraumatic stress disorder,(PTSD), may develop after a person is exposed to one or more traumatic events, such as major stress, sexual assault, terrorism, or other threats on a person's life. The diagnosis may be given when a group of symptoms, such as disturbing recurring flashbacks, avoidance or numbing of memories of the event, and hyper-arousal, continue for more than a month after the occurrence of a traumatic event..

Most people having experienced a traumatizing event will not develop PTSD. People who experience assault-based trauma are more likely to develop PTSD, as opposed to people who experience non-assault based trauma such as witnessing trauma, accidents, and fire events. Children are less likely to experience PTSD after trauma than adults, especially if they are under ten years of age.  War veterans are commonly at risk for PTSD.

Medications including fluoxetine and paroxetine may improve symptoms a small amount. Most medications do not have enough evidence to support their use.
In my experience, those clients I saw who had taken psychotic medications experienced pain in body that was difficult to manage and the sessions were hard to connect with.

RELEASING the PAIN and STRESS

To release stress, it starts with 'releasing' all of the negativity in your life.
